To monetize anything on Zayvay — Drops, Subscriptions, brand revenue — you need to verify your identity. Without it, you can publish drafts but you can't go live.
Zayvay uses Dots for identity verification. It takes about 5 minutes. You'll need:
- A government-issued ID.
- A device with a camera (for the selfie step).
- Your tax info handy (SSN for US, equivalent for other countries).
Start it from Settings → Identity in Forge. You'll hand off to Dots' secure flow, complete it there, and come back to Forge. Verification usually finishes within an hour, sometimes instantly.
A few things to know:
- The name on your ID must match the real name on your profile (not your Vault Name).
- Zayvay never sees your ID image. Dots holds the documents and tells us pass/fail.
- Failed verification isn't permanent. You can retry.
- Once verified, you're verified — you don't redo this every year.
Verification is free for creators. We absorb the Dots cost.
Once verified, the Publish button on every Canvas turns on, and you can connect Stripe Connect for receiving payments.
