How you leave an Echo depends on what kind of Canvas you're in:
- Writing or ebook chapter — long-press (mobile) or right-click (desktop) on a paragraph. The Echo picker appears.
- ZIP audio or video — tap the Echo button while listening or watching. The Echo is anchored to the timestamp you're at.
- Video — same as ZIP.
Pick a reaction from the menu. That's it. No confirmation, no submit button — the Echo is recorded the moment you tap.
If you Echo the same paragraph or moment twice, the second one replaces the first. To take an Echo back, see Removing an Echo.
You need to be signed in to leave an Echo. If you're browsing without an account, the option won't appear.
