Echoes are how you react to a piece of a creator's work — a paragraph, a moment in an audio episode, a scene in a video.
Echoes aren't comments. They're not visible to other viewers. There's no thread, no reply chain, no number badge on a Vault. An Echo is a private signal between you and the creator: "this part landed."
You pick from a small set of reaction types — things like moved, thoughtful, funny, disagree — depending on what fits. There's no text input on most Echoes; the choice itself is the message.
A creator sees all the Echoes left on their work, mapped to the exact spot they were left. They can write back to you privately, and you'll see their replies in your dashboard under Echoes.
Echoes are deliberately quiet. No platform on Earth needs another like button. Echoes give you a way to say "I was here, this part hit me" without it becoming a popularity contest.
