To publish a book or long-form text on Zayvay, upload it as an EPUB. From Forge, click New Canvas → Ebook.

The flow:

  1. Upload the EPUB file.
  2. Zayvay processes it — splits it into chapters, extracts text, generates a table of contents.
  3. You review the chapter split. Sometimes EPUBs have odd structure and a chapter break shows up in the wrong place. Drag to fix.
  4. Add metadata: title, cover image, ISBN if it exists.
  5. Read the rights attestation — you have to confirm you own the rights before publishing.
  6. Publish.

Once live, your book reads in a paginated reader on your Vault. Viewers can:

  • Read chapter by chapter.
  • Save their place — Zayvay tracks reading progress per viewer.
  • Echo individual paragraphs.
  • Adjust font size, theme, and line spacing for their reading preferences.

Files up to 30MB process quickly. Larger files take a few extra minutes. If your EPUB has a lot of inline images, processing is slower — that's expected.

You can also upload other formats — PDF, Word — but they'll be converted to EPUB first, and the conversion isn't always clean. EPUB in directly is the best path.
