Open the Canvas from your Canvases list in Forge. You can change:
- Title.
- Body text (writing Canvases).
- Cover image.
- Description.
- Collection membership.
- Explicit flag.
- The Cut membership.
- Timeline events (ZIP).
- Transcript (ZIP).
- Chapter order (ebook).
What you can't change:
- The underlying audio or video file on a ZIP or Video Canvas. To replace the media, unpublish, delete, and upload a new Canvas.
- The EPUB on an ebook Canvas. Same rule — re-upload as a new Canvas if the source file changed.
- The slug, once a Canvas has been published. You can edit it while it's still a draft.
Edits save the moment you make them. There's no separate "publish edit" step — the live Canvas updates immediately.
If a viewer is reading or watching when you save an edit, their session keeps the old version until they reload. Major edits don't disrupt anyone mid-Canvas.
