Your tax info determines what shows up on your invoices and how Zayvay reports your spending for tax purposes.
Set or update it in Billing → Tax info. We collect:
- Business legal name (what appears on your tax filings, not necessarily your brand's marketing name).
- Tax ID — EIN for US businesses, VAT ID for EU, equivalent for other countries.
- Business address — your registered business address.
- Country and state/province — for the correct tax treatment.
What this affects:
- Your invoices. All of the above appears on every invoice.
- Sales tax. If your country/state charges sales tax on advertising services, we apply it correctly. The tax is shown on the invoice as a separate line.
- Year-end tax docs. US businesses get a 1099-K through Stripe if they hit reporting thresholds. International businesses get equivalent docs per their country.
A few specifics:
- Sole proprietors and individuals can use a personal SSN/equivalent. You don't need a business entity.
- Tax info can be updated any time but applies to future invoices only. Old invoices reflect the info as of their issue date.
- We can't issue invoices retroactively in a different business name. If you set up under the wrong entity, contact support to walk through next steps.
