A Canvas is one piece of work on your Vault. Every video, every podcast episode, every essay, every ebook chapter — each one is a Canvas.

Think of it as the unit of publishing. A Vault is the home, a Collection is a grouping, a Canvas is the actual thing a viewer opens and consumes.

Each Canvas has:

  • A title.
  • A type (writing, ZIP, video, ebook — see Canvas types).
  • A body (the actual content — text, audio, video, whatever).
  • An optional explicit flag (see Marking content explicit).
  • A publish state (draft or published).
  • Optional Collection membership.
  • A spot in The Cut if you chose it.

Once published, a Canvas:

  • Shows up on your Vault.
  • Becomes eligible to carry an Access Nasq for any viewer who opens it.
  • Starts earning you brand revenue.
  • Can be Echoed by viewers.

You manage everything from Canvases in Forge. Each Canvas has its own edit page where you can update content, change settings, or unpublish.
